About the real Honda Monkey 125
The Honda Monkey 125 was developed as the modern successor to Honda’s famous compact leisure motorcycles.
Sold in Japan from July 2018, it retained the trapezoidal profile, compact proportions and wide tyres of earlier Monkey models.
The new generation nevertheless uses a modern 125 cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine.
A generously padded seat improves comfort, while chrome-look mudguards and silencer protection reinforce its retro styling.
It combines the playful character of the historic Monkey with contemporary engineering.
