This Tamiya 1/72 kit recreates the F-14D Tomcat with movable variable-sweep wings. Interchangeable airbag and sealing-plate parts support different wing positions after assembly. The refuelling probe and access ladder can be built stowed or deployed. Weapons include laser-guided bombs, a LANTIRN pod and air-to-air missiles. Two seated figures and five US Navy markings are included.

The F-14 Tomcat served as a US Navy carrier fighter from the 1970s to 2006. The F-14D combined F110-GE-400 engines with upgraded digital radar and later used LANTIRN pods and guided bombs for precision strike missions.
