About the real Peugeot 206 WRC
The Peugeot 206 WRC marked Peugeot’s return to the highest level of the World Rally Championship in the late 1990s.
Following the success of the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 in the mid-1980s, Peugeot officially returned to rallying with the 206 WRC from 1998.
Its compact dimensions, including an overall length of around 4 metres and a 2,468 mm wheelbase, promoted agility on twisting stages.
Beneath the compact body was a competition-developed engine and transmission engineered for WRC demands.
The 206 WRC became one of the defining rally cars of its era and returned Peugeot to the forefront of the sport.
